Hey Folks - i was issued an IBM Thinkpad 2723-CU1 (R40?) from our high school last year and am having problems getting it to come on today. I have NO paperwork or manuals on this baby what-so-ever. (They keep scissors away from us teachers now too . . . :))We're on Christmas break, so there are no techs available. I was in a hurry yesterday and unplugged it's electrical source while it was shutting down. I then packed it up and left it sitting in it's case for a few hours. Now it won't take a charge, won't respond to the AC adapter - nothing. I hear the clock ticking when i plug it in but it just won't come on. I kept it plugged in overnight, had a green light in the morning, but it just went dead when i tried to power it up. If the battery dies, wouldn't it still be able to power up from the AC adapter? What am i missing here?
