i was in a similar situation.

from what i understand, both are perfectly compatible. the 90W's brick is a little bigger, but it will recharge your notebook more quickly.

so if it's a permanent one (stay at home/work), i would just get the 90W. if it's one you'd carry around in your backpack or frequently, then think about the 65W?

    just my thoughts...

It's not very well documented on Lenovo's site, but here's the deal:

65 Watt adapters seem to come with X series, as well as non-P designated T series. These machines will accept either the 65watt or 90watt, and it is identified in the TP power manager.

90 Watt adapters come with the T60p/T61p machines, and the battery charges very slowly with a 65 watt adapter. It seems to be usable but is generally not recommended.

The 65 watt is a little cheaper, and I don't know if the 90 watt actually does charge the battery faster in a non-P model or not. Might as well save the cash and weight.

Interesting.... But you have discrete (Quadro 140M) versus Integrated (X3100)... Perhaps that's the delineation, not the P/non-P.

That seems plausible, LaptopGuru. Integrated video would mean less power consumption. Good eye.
