    Hi :)

So I have looked into this hybrid and I think I'm totally hooked. So, to get to my point, I have a friend in the US that can buy me the device there for cheaper and bring it along, but I live in South Africa and our electricity standards differ. Will I be able to just buy a different though matching power cable here in SA and directly plug that into the Yoga Pro 2, or will I need to buy a power converter and then plug that into the wall and the Pro 2's cable into the converter?

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, the AC power adapter is universal. So, you ether find the local cable that plugs into the adapter, or use a simple Type A (US) to Type M (South Africa) plug adapter. No transformer is needed.

Ah, thanks for the quick reply! So if I understand you correctly, when the tablet gets here, I can just leave the half of the cord that consists out of the power brick and plug that goes into the laptop, and replace the part of the cord that connects the wall plug to the power brick? And this all without electrocuting my new device?

Yes, you can do that. The US-sold Yoga2Pro power adapter comes with non-polarized non-grounded AC input. I see sparks flying from the wall outlet sometimes, when I plug it in.

I bought another adapter, from an older Yoga, that one has a grounded plug.
