Premiere Leather Carrying Case. Thoughts / Comments!!
Ibm is offering it for free with purchase of a notebook?
dont know if its decent, and they only offer a brief description, and only one picture.
Also wonder since they are offering free shipping if the bag will ship with the notebook with the free shipping or if they will seperate it and charge you shipping for it?
Thanks.

I just purchased a T42 and got the Premiere Leather case. It's your standard carrying case. Several pockets for storing all kinds of small items, plus what seems like a well-protected place for the notebook itself. Shipping was free on it, although it was sent UPS Ground and the notebook was send 2 day Express. Overall, I am happy with it.

Guess I should have look harder, Like just above the drop down box.
"For promotions and offers included below, shipping/handling is not included. These offers are available for a limited time only, may not be combined with other offers/promotions"
So I wonder why they list it as Free if the Visa Discount is a offer/promotion?
I checked another site for this same bag and shipping would be about 11.00 coming from PcConnection. Dont know where they ship from though. -
Actually, now that I think about it, I should probably have been more clear. Two notes:
1) I bought the computer during the "New and Cool Sale", which was a different promotion. The mini-dock was discounted and the Leather case was about $70 with the computer purchase. Don't know if that would have made a difference with shipping.
2) To make #1 a moot point, I bought everything from the shareholder program site (www.ibm.com/shop/us/spp). It states on that page if you follow the link that purchases, including accessories, have free standard shipping. (Although it's worth noting that the notebook was actually sent 2 day express... the accessories were sent by UPS Ground)
Sorry about the confusion - didn't give my first response enough thought. Regardless, it's still a good deal at $0 or $11.
