I usually set my T400 to sleep state instead of shutdown/hibernate, but sometimes it troubles me much. Plugging in/out AC Adapter: waking up, plugging in/out USB mouse: waking up, etc.... EDIT: this behavior is not always, it happens randomly I don't like this and want it only wake up when I open its lit or press power button.

    How can I do that?

    Thanks in advance :)

I don’t have this issue—you might want to try updating the drivers/software that deal with this.

Also, if you go into Device Manager, right click on one of the devices that is waking the computer and click Properties, some of these devices have a Power Management tab. Clicking on this tab will reveal one or more options and if Allow this device to wake the computer is checked, unchecking it will prevent the computer from waking when this device is plugged in/unplugged.

Thank you. The only device that's enabled to wake up computer is the modem. I disabled it and will test if it works.

Also, I got all BIOS/drivers/software updated. I'll try some tests and report here :)

    Thanks, again :)

EDIT: it did not work :-s

Plugging in anything to a USB port wakes my T400 up, as well.

And yes, I find it annoying, too.
