I placed an order on 10/15 for a T61p and just noticed that lenovo dropped all the prices on upgrades. If I re-configure the exact same system right now I can save around $300. I have not received my order yet although it has shipped. I'm wondering if anybody else has had a similar situation, and if lenovo is able to give you the difference. Thanks

I know you can ask for a price match, but I don't think Lenovo will do a refund. You can reconfigure it and send the current one back without opening. I believe Lenovo has a weird policy about sending back their machines.

Yes it is called price matching and they will match the price within 21 days. Call asap as the sale ends today, iirc.

Piggyback, generate a price quote if possible. The price quote would give you tangible proof and if you are a business customer they will honor the quote for 30 days even on price matching. Speaking from first hand experience.

I would honestly just re order another machine and cancel the other order...$300 is a lot of money....you may have to wait longer...even if it the old system gets shipped to you..don't open it and you'll get a full refund...make sure you get a RMA number!! (very important)

lenovo will not give you a refund...their ordering sysmtem is messed up....even by changing anything in the order (ie: ordering an extra battery) will put you in the back of the 'line' again

    for additional savings...use FATWALLET
