Now looking through the Lenovo Customizing section for the T60p

To get 2.16 ghz T7400 Core 2 Duo is an extra 180.. then another 120 for 2.33 GHZ

is this worth the extra money? Or should I settle for 2.00 ghz

I am in need of a thinkpad for web designing with macromedia flash 8, dreamweaver, photoshop... etc.

Also I am a light gamer as i dab on a few games here and there.

2.0ghz is enough for photoshop and dreamweaver and flash imo. that's what i have and they open really fast.

not many people get the 2.16ghz c2d because of that huge jump in price.

The cost is almost never justified.

The questions you should ask yourself are:
'how long do I plan to keep this laptop for?'
'Will I notice such a huge performance difference between the CPUs in my everyday usage?'
'What else could I use $180/$300 for?'
'Will upgrading your RAM increase your everyday performance more than a CPU upgrade from 2.0GHz to 2.33GHZ?'

If you have that kind of money, might as well get 4GB of RAM :)
