    T61 with Vista Ultimate SP1

for two or three months now (before and after the installation of SP1) I will periodically get a message when I'm shutting down the computer. It says something like "installing update 1 of 1. Do not turn off your computer." So I leave it on. But nothing seems to happen. I've let it go as long as two hours to see what will happen, but it just continues to show the installing update message.

    What might be happening?
