So I finally receive my T61 with Athero wireless card. I did a clean install to it (currently Vista Biz 64) and only install the driver for the wireless card (didn't install the lenovo wifi utility).

The wireless connection keeps breaking every so often, this doesn't happen to my previous laptop or my girl friend's laptop....

I am using a Linksys WRT54GL with DD-WRT VPN firmware, which is quit solid...

I have try changing the channel on the router and gotten one connection breakage after 2.5hrs of use...

Anything that will resolve this problem? or should I install Thinkpad wireless lan software to manage Wifi connections?

do the breakages happen only when on battery? if so this might be because you have your wifi set to max battery savings. The system will periodically turn off the wifi during idle moments.
