    Hi,

I've had my T500 for almost a month now and I'm really satisfied with it. But now I've just noticed that the 56k modem doesn't work. It doesn't appear on the hardware manager in Vista and is not detected with PC Doctor DOS ("hardware failed initialized...").

I contacted Lenovo support and they sent me a modem daughter card replacement which I changed myself but it still doesn't work. The problem must have something to do with the modem jack or the connection on the motherboard.

Now would you send them the laptop if you had a minor problem like this ? Because frankly I don't think I'll ever need the 56k modem connection (but you never know :p ). And I'm a little afraid to have some scratches on the laptop or find other problems if they have to change the motherboard or the modem jack.

    Thanks.
