    Problem with R61

    Hello guys,
    I jut got my R61,14" WXGA,Core Duo 2 T7500,1 gig RAM,Nvidia card,etc,etc.OS is XP professional,I prefer XP to Vista.
    Problem I am having is with rebooting,just a quick question.On average,how long does it take for a laptop to restart?How many minutes?Mine is taking about 3 minutes,my old toshiba did not take that much time.
    Also,I put it on stand by mode,opened it and it just froze on me,for a good 10 minutes,I could go to task manager and restart it,computer shut down and never booted.I had to unplug the battery and restart it.
    So what is this?Is this something usual that may happen with a brand new laptop?I am not a big PC user,but I had to get it as a business laptop.Not so much for gaming or anything,I just need a steady and fast laptop for work,but the way it acts is worrying me.Please give some feedback.

    Have you updated all the software yet? I had over 50 updates from Microsoft plus another 15 from Lenovo.

    I haven't had any problems rebooting/suspending my R61.

    I will try to update the software,I haven't done it yet.But on average,does it take you about 3 minutes to restart?I just wonder if it's different on other machines.

    Do you have XP as well?Also,is that a restart time?
