Hi, I have a problem with my current R61. Whenever I tried to use system restore, I always get a message: "The writer experienced a transient error. If the backup process is retried, the error may not reoccur. (0x800423F3)".
Did Anybody have the same experience?
I also tried to make a copy of restore CD, but it failed saying "Creat Recovery Media has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

Any help/suggestion is really appreciated. Thanks. :)

Note: I have Windows Vista Home Basic OS on this laptop. T7300 Intel with 1 GB RAM.

try using the system restore in safe mode.

If your recovery media creation failed call lenovo at 800-426-7378 and tell them that it failed and request the media be sent to you.
