    Problem with smard card on T61

    How did you go about installing it?

    Did you install it through device manager or did you just run an .exe file?

    Start Windows Vista 64-bit and logon with administrative privileges.
    Double-click the driver package to extract it onto the hard drive.
    The default location is C:\DRIVERS\VISTA64\SCREADER
    Click Start, then click Control Panel.
    Click System and Maintenance, click System, then click Device Manager.
    Expand the Smart Card Readers category.
    Double-click USB Smart Card Reader (Windows driver) or Integrated Smart Card Reader (Lenovo driver).
    Click the Driver tab, then click Update Driver Software...
    Click Browse my computer for driver software.
    Click Browse... then navigate to the driver location.
    Example: C:\DRIVERS\VISTA64\SCREADER\LENOVORD_64.MSI

    Confirm the Include subfolders checkbox is checked, then click Next.
    When prompted with "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to install this driver software?", click Install.
    Once the installation has finished, click Close.

    Double-click System.
    Click the Hardware tab, then click Device Manager.
    Expand the Smart Card Readers category.
    Double-click USB Smart Card Reader (Windows driver) or Integrated Smart Card Reader (Lenovo driver).
    Click the Driver tab, then click Update Driver Software...
    From the Hardware Update Wizard, click No, not this time, then click Next.
    Choose Install from a list or specific location (Advanced), then click Next.
    Choose Search for the best driver in these locations.
    Confirm the Include this location in the search checkbox is checked, then click Browse...
    Navigate to the driver location, then click Next.
    Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\SCREADER\LENOVORD.MSI

    When prompted with "The software you are installing for this hardware..." click Continue Anyway.
    Once the installation has finished, click Finish.

    Firstly, there's an error in the Lenovo driver readme that you posted. There's no "LENOVORD.MSI" in the driver package, only .inf, .sys and .cat files.

    But my main question is, have you figured out anything to do with the smartcard reader? I have a T61 7660-A14, and the smartcard reader is installed properly. I tried placing my DVB smartcard into it just to see what happens - nothing did :)
