Ok I have had a new Z61m for about 4 months and it has been great but I have had some problems arise lately. First of all it has been freezing every time I put the battery charger plug in if the computer is on. Second every time i try to shutdown I have to endtask to some program called cardreaderlookup. Third When I start up the Computer all these unwanted Icon programs are in that little tray in the bottom right hand corner like MQ server, Adobe photodownloader, and bluetooth thing even know I dont have bluetooth but just used a usb one once. Any soulutions to these problems would greatly be appreciated.

1. When you get a new computer loaded with bloatware your best option is to reformat and install a fresh copy of Windows XP.
That will solve 99% of your problems. -
I don't think most of that bloatware came with the TP. It sounds like a reload is indicated, though, given the issue with the charger, unless you want to use system restore to try and go back before the charger freezing issue happened and figure out what software is causing your problem.
Photo downloader and the BT stack can be removed relatively easily, if you're so inclined, but the real problem might be more difficult to deal with. -
ok so how do I get rid of these extra programs??? Also the freezing only happens about 60% of the time but I can avoid it by having it plugged in before I turn it on. I am kind of scared about doing a clean install. I dont want to have to reinstall all my programs and such

If Photoshop (or the right click menu on photo downloader) doesn't have a way to keep it from starting on boot, use msconfig or startuplist to remove it from the run list in the registry or remove it from the startup group in your start menu if it's in there.
The bluetooth stack should have an uninstaller, although you might need to use a registry cleaner get rid of everything, but I haven't had a problem getting the widcomm stack removed from my t30 or my desktop machines.
Unless you really don't mind running the risk of freezing (I'd probably throw my laptop at the wall if it did that to me regularly), you might as well reload everything. That said, I'd be inclined to do it using rescue & recovery rather than from a regular windows disk..If you update to the latest version, I'm pretty sure you'll get the custom installation routines that will allow you to leave out a bunch of the stuff that originally came on the computer, if you desire.
Problems so far...
