    I have a new T61p that came with vista home basic.
    In it I have an Intel 4965 Pro AGN card, and when I did a clean install of XP and tried to install the drivers, the installation failed.

    I tried both with the drivers on lenovo's website and Intel's:

    Does the installation give a reason for its failure? Sometimes the wireless driver will not install if the hardware switch is turned off (and the system normally defaults it to off if you have not installed your hotkey software yet).

    Make sure you are using the following driver, too:
