I have a T60 with an ATI Radeon Mobility X1400 graphics card. I'm trying to download the drivers I've downloaded from the Lenovo website but I'm having trouble with installing them.

I've removed the previous drivers (generic drivers from Windows Vista). I then rebooted and I'm currently running on 800 x 600 pixels. When I try to install the downloaded drivers from the Lenovo website but I get the following message:

"The installaation could not find any componentswhich could be installed in the current hardware or software configuration. Please check whether you have the neccesary hardware or software". The message is in Danish so I've tried to translate and precise as possible.

I couldn't find any ATI drivers for the X1400 on the ATI/AMD website. Any idea on how I get the Lenovo drivers installed or where I can obtain ATI drivers ?

When choosing the different criterias you'll get this message:
"Currently AMD does not provide any driver support for Mobility Radeon™ products. All driver and technical support for Mobility Radeon™ products is provided by the original laptop or notebook manufacturer. The drivers that are available for download at ati.amd.com are for desktop products only.

To download Windows Vista Mobility Radeon™ drivers or driver updates for your laptop or notebook product, please visit your laptop or notebook manufacturer's website."

I managed to install the ATI driver. I found the drivers from another site which I was anable to install. However, it didn't install the drivers itself but merely an Installation Manager. Then I tried the Lenovo drivers again it they were installed succesfully.

Or try the modified omega drivers @ omegadrivers.net. Those worked fine on my dad's mobility x1600.

Omega drivers are great as long as you do not have Vista. They worked wonderfully on the ATI M6(old GPU) on my first laptop.
