    Hello everybody!!

I´m new in the forum. I have a Thinkpad A22m 2628 TTU with Windows XP Professional SP1 loaded. I´m having problems with the Suspend Mode and the Hibernation Mode. For instace, when the computer is in Suspend Mode don´t wake up, I mean, I try to wheter open the lid or press the Fn button the computer hang (freezes) and then I need to restart it again. The same with Hibernation Mode. I have downloaded the Power Management Drivers for Win XP from IBM web site, but still doing the same.

What I can do?, somebody can help me please?. Thanks a lot.

    Bye.

Make sure you have the latest BIOS version as well as drivers, if that does not work you could try a new hard drive as the firmware in the hard drive is very closely related to how the hibernation mode works or does not work.

Thanks so much for your reply!

Regarding the BIOS update I´m not sure about that, I mean, I´m afraid of doing so, I´m afraid about whats is going to happen with the chip. I have the latest drivers from IBM. One thing you said called my attention, you said maybe I have to change the hard disk. For instance, I can´t buy a new hard drive, its possible to upgrade the firmare of the hard disk?, can this solve the problem?. I have the original hard disk shipped with the computer. Its a Hitachi DK23CA-30B. Thanks.
