    Hey,

I got my W500 yesterday and for some reason the internet stoppe working twice. Once the internet stop working I click to see the signal strength and connection and it all takes forever to load. I know its not my internet because my other computer work. I am thinking it possibly has something to do with the Think Light. Becuase about when I turned it on the internet turned off.. I really dont know whats wrong. Didnt have time to fully test it. But I am very unhappy that the programs regarding the internet slows down when the internet doesnt work. Anyone else having similar problem??

I don't think there is a problem with the internet. The internet isn't slowing down either. I am willing to bet it has something to do with your computer.

Try downloading the latest drivers from Intel.

There is an option somewhere, sorry don't remember, to turn off the wireless when not being used (you are still connected, but not actively transmitting, so it shuts off wireless). I don't like that feature, seems like a waste, so I disabled it. It's a checkbox somewhere, sorry don't remember which program. Might be power manager.

Access Connections - > Tools -> Global Settings.

Uncheck the option that lets the radio be turned off when inactive.
