What is the difference and which is better :
Intel® Core 2 Duo L7500 LV (1.6 GHz) and T7300 (2 Ghz)
-
Intel L7500 is a low-voltage chip. It's cooler, conserves battery life, but slower. The T7300 is a regular voltage mobile chip. It has better performance, runs a little bit hotter, and uses more power.

hey spoon which processor speed did u get your x61s with? I'm wondering if there is a big (noticable) difference between the 1.6GHz and 1.8Ghz?
-
I reviewed the X61s which had the LV7500. It seemed pretty zippy to me though it will depend on what you are doing.
-
Ya true, so it was zippy even with windows vista?
-
Well it did have 2GB of memory.
-
Same situation as me before. I chose X61/T7300 because it was almost $200 cheaper than X61s/L7500 ( if u choose ultralight for X61s, others are same )
-
The t7300 is the better chip but it also runs hotter -
Hey what do you mean 'if you choose ultralight for x61s, the other are the same'? are you referring to other specs of the laptop? and how is your x61/T7300 treating ya?
Also about ultralight, I noticed that for X61s there is the TFT and TMD version - does anyone know if this is something to be concerned (ie. one is better than the other) about or are they pretty much the same? -
Zaz I went through your review (very nice btw, answered like everything). You mentioned that the unit tested didn't have the 1GB turbo memory? So do you think it's ok to go without it? I mean if it doesnt make a big difference we can just save the $50?
Also would you happen to know the difference between the UltraLight TFT screen and the TMD UltraLight screen on the x61s? I posted it here:

Thanks -
Yes I do. Supposedly the Turbo memory offers a bit better battery life, but it's not completely fleshed out yet. Dell and HP aren't even offering it. It may offer more benefits down the road.
