It doesn't need protection. You bought a Thinkpad, so treat it like a Thinkpad.

/Throws lappy to the ground :p

Okay, if you're really concerned, I guess a laptop sleeve would do. Any particular neoprene type should be fine.

I've heard people compare their laptops to children. That's fine. But a virgin girl? Okay... you need to get out a bit more often.

Sounds like your Thinkpad gets knocked up..errr.. around quite a bit :D

About protecting a Thinkpad, all I can think of is to get a bag/backpack with a decent amount of padding. Since Thinkpads are build to withstand abuse you don't really need to baby it around as much as a regular notebook but I'm sure it would be a good idea to treat it nice if you want it to last.

I'm with you tailic, I carry my laptop around in a "the north face" recon bag. It does have a laptop sleeve but it contains a minimal amount of padding. My major concern was not keeping the laptop well padded, it was actually keeping that sucker dry. If i wanted to worship my laptop and treat it like royalty, I would've purchased a brenthaven bag.

What size did you buy? and what size is your screen? I might buy one of these for my T61p but it has 15.4 inch screen so would I need to buy 17" sleeve?

I bought the 17" but it seemed a little baggy, so I sent it back for the 15" size. It's fine.

    My screen is 14.1" It's a t61. I don't know if it would work with a 6 or 7 cell batt, but it works with a 4.
