Does your Vaio support DDR2 ram?
-
i have no idea, i bought it 2 months ago. costco model, 13.5" screen.
it's not a big deal though, just thought it was funny. -
It could be an older model that doesn't support the ram, but like you said, funny nonetheless.
-
Reseat your RAM. (As in take it out, insert at 45 degrees, slide in as much as possible, then push down.) If that doesn't work, RMA it -- bad sticks.
Your Vaio is compatible with DDR2, otherwise, it wouldn't fit.
Nice avatar and sig by the way Wingsbr ^^ -
Does your Vaio support 4 gigs of RAM? I think what admlam said is a good recommendation, but I'd probably put one at a time and only that one stick of RAM without any other and see how it functions to make sure the RAM works.
-
it only supports 3gb =)
-
If your RAM is DDR2 533 and the Vaio needs DDR2 667 then it may be the cause.
Put T61p RAM into Vaio=berserk! =)
