Anyone bought refurbed batteries from Lenovo outlet? Do they have the same or similar battery life (hours) and lifespan (years) as new ones? (how do they refurbish a battery by the way?)

from what i understand, the refurb batteries have the controller chip and battery cells replaced with new ones. They still use the external casing where possible.

This is one reason why Lenovo wants all the broken batteries returned when you ask for an exchange.
