I just received my new T61 14.1" widescreen and everything is great, except I ordered the WXGA+ screen and honestly, the fonts are hurting my eyes more then expected... Is there anything I can do to improve the situation, or should I just RMA the thing, suck up the 15% restocking fee, and order another with the standard resolution? Will my eyes adapt?
Another question, the standard screen has an option for a camera, has anyone used this for video chat, and if so is it worth getting?
This is a replacement for a trusty T41 that just died- love the thinkpads though..

Well, in XP, you can adjust the DPI as follows:
Control Panel->Display->Settings->Advanced->General
and then choose the DPI you prefer. -
You can also adjust the DPI for Vista as well.

I'm pretty sure webcam is also available on the widescreen version. -
adjust the dpi, fonts or resolution either one of those should work -
thanks for the help guys- I'll give it a shot tonight..
The webcam is available with the widescreen, but not with the higher resolution screen...
the external ones are cheap enough that if I need it, i'll probably just go that route, don't think I'll be using it all that much anyways.. -
the webcam is useful and cool, but not indispensable. I heard it's not good enough for serious video as well, but it's totally fine for skype/MSN/etc.

Have you turned ClearType on? (Control Panel | Display | Appearances | Effects)
That makes all the difference in the world.
