My ThinkPad X61s came with a 65W (20V) AC adapter, but due to the high pitched noise it made, I requested IBM to send me a new one. They sent me a larger-sized 90W (20V) adapter.

Does the 90W adapter charge my laptop faster than the 65W adapter? Both are rated at 20V. If they charge at the same rate, I'd rather have a more compact power adapter.
