I can't seem to find this any where. If i were to configure a Thinkpad on Lenovo.com without selecting any warranty, are there any Default warranty that come with the system? Like a 3 year warrant or pay a fix cost to get it repair when something happens to it?

If I remember correctly, every Thinkpad comes with a base 1-year depot limited warranty. What this means is that if there is a manufacturing defect with your Thinkpad, you are allowed to send it in to be repaired free of charge. I hope this helps!

Depends on the model. Which model # were you going to configure. Some come with default 3 year warranties.

The default for the ThinkPads when configuring is one year depot warranty. There are pre-configured models that come with more than one year. My guess is that that deal comes from EPP.

You know, if you want a good deal... I just bought a T60 with the following specifications:
    1 year warranty
    Intel Core 2 Duo 1.66GHz (T5500)
    Windows XP Pro
    14.1'' SXGA+ screen with 128MB Radeon x1400
    100 GB 5400rpm hard drive
    CD/DVD Burner with dual layer
    9 cell battery
    1 GB RAM
Also, all the standard things... blue tooth, wireless card, fingerprint reader, etc.

All it cost me was a paltry $1300 + $100 sales tax (stupid New York). I got it right off of the Lenovo website. When you call up the people and order your laptop, make sure to tell them up front that you want a discount. This could be a credit card, consumer, student, or employee. The representative I had was nice enough to check all of them for me to see which one would be best.

However, you might need to call a few times since the first two people I talked to "never heard of such a discount". I would also suggest doing it now since Lenovo has the "three upgrades for free/greatly reduced price" deal going on right now.
