    Hello everyone,

I have a question about the x61 tablet.

Now I heard that the ones with multi touch feature come with lower resolution than those with out it.

is this true all the time? or is it only true if it says SXGA+ (which is not listed in the configurator anymore)?

Because right now they only list 12.1" WVA XGA TFT and
12.1" MultiView + MultiTouch WVA XGA TFT with no mention of the resolution.

can anyone please clear this out for me?

    thanks!

XGA is the resolution, it stands for 1024x768. The SXGA+ (1400x1050) hi resolution screen was only offered in the Digitizer only model (not touch). I believe Lenovo always had supply troubles with the SXGA+ screens (very few manufacturers make 12" SXGA+ glass), so they may well be out. I think Lenovo is phasing the x61 Tablet out soon, so if you want the SXGA+ you will probably need to check out a third party retailer.

However, if you aren't tied down to needing a 4x3 aspect ratio and a 1400x1050 resolution, I highly recommend the x200 Tablet. The screen is much brighter, colors are extremely sharp, viewing angles are fantastic, and it is available with a 1280x800 LED screen with either a Digitizer or Multi-touch. It is also lighter, cooler, quieter, and more energy efficient than the x61t while providing a true full size keyboard, webcam, and integrated WWAN.
