I recently updated my T60 and for some reason the LAN connection (Wired) and the ethernet adapter completely disappeared from my Device List and Network Connections. I checked Lenovo's site, but all it says is "Integrated Ethernet Integrated Gigabit Ethernet (Standard)" I want to reinstall the driver, but which IntelĀ® PRO/1000 version is it? There is CT C W WT and the list goes on.Could someone with a T60 tell me the name, and driver version, Thanks and have a nice day. (Could the X60 have the same ethernet adapter?)

This is quite URGENT as my WLAN doesn't seem to work either so I have no access to the internet with my T60.

try roll back the changes first. u can either go to system restore, or c:/driver and find the previous driver.

You can find most drivers for your T60 here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-62928. Download the driver under the title "Intel PRO/1000 LAN adapter." After it installs, your wired LAN connection should work. For me, I found that when I double click the executable file I downloaded from the IBM driver website, it only creates a folder under C:\Drivers for the LAN. So I would have to go through that folder and double click another .exe file to have it actually install the drivers. If that doesn't work, try installing wireless first.
As for your WLAN problem, if you have the "Intel PRO/Wireless LAN 3945bg and 3945abg Mini PCI adapter," you would download the driver for that in the link above. If you have the "Thinkpad 11a\b\g wireless card", install the respective driver for that(you know what I mean).
After getting your LAN connection established (either Wireless or LAN), Download and install "Software installer", a program that checks your current setup and downloads and installs different Thinkvantage applications you might have also lost(If you care for the Thinkvantage apps). You can find Software installer here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-4ZKMCT.
Also remember to do the tweak that enables the usage of both cores on your core duo processor to ensure your T60 is running optimally. You can find the tweak guide here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=60416.
Hope everything works out Qhs. -
