I'm just a little confused about the "standard warranty" lenovo notebooks. While customizing my T60 I run across this (the Warranty service upgrades):
"ThinkPlus Maintenance Services offer you a variety of service level upgrades for your business systems. Use our convenient services to enhance or extend your hardware service coverage beyond its systems standard warranty term. Please choose one of the following upgrades which meets your business needs."
I can't find what the standard warranty is on their site, could anyone help me out? Also, do you guys feel it's necessary to get anymore more than the standard warranty? I'm getting a Thinkpad because of their reputation for great quality in their products, so I'm thinking a 1 year warranty should suffice? I won't be carrying it around with me everywhere I go, but it will be often enough that I'm getting a notebook over a desktop. And lastly, are there many problems with dead pixels from Lenovo notebooks? I checked their site and they only help you if you have 9-16 or something dead pixels. I really hate these things and if they are very common I'd like to know about it.

The standard warranty is usually considered depot repair and one to three years depending on machine type.
