I'm looking at the FRUs shipped with my computer, and there are two things I'm confused about:
42T0329 15.4 INCH LCD DISPLAY FRU
42X4641 FRU LCD MODULE 15.4 WSXGA (SUMSUNG)
The first one is the FRU of the Samsung screen on the T60, according to the Lenovo site.
The second is what is listed for the T61 on the Lenovo site.
According to Parts Lookup, the first is serviceable, but the second is not.
What's the difference between the two? I'm confused.

Sumsung?
I believe the 42T0329 means that Lenovo probably is using the same screen from the T60s for their T61s. What the 2nd one is I personally dont know. Perhaps it is just a way for them to know what resolution screen you are getting / is the name for the whole "screen" (aka, the panel, the bezel surrounding it, etc etc) -
Yes, that's how it was spelled haha.
If they are indeed using the T60 screen, I hope it is not a downgrade in quality. I hope they're the same. The 500:1 contrast ratio and 200 nits according to Tabook was the main reason I went with the WSXGA+. -
the samsung panel, at least for the T60s, is the lower grade one. The LG Phillips is supposedly the superior one, and while I cannot confirm it as I have not seen a T60 other than mine, I do like my screen.

I'm aware of LG's superiority, and I was disappointed in getting both a Samsung and Chicony keyboard, but I'll live. I'm just hoping the T61 Samsungs aren't supposed to better than the T60, and that I got the worse of the two.
Do you have an LG or Samsung? -
LG. I like mine

Check the T61 6465 Type page on Lenovo. I don't remember, but it seems like 42X4641 was listed as Samsung. Not to mention it said SUMSUNG next to it.
