    Question about T61 CTO build

    I just ordered a T61 from lenovo the other day. I expect it to be shipping out later this week. I was getting ready to download everything needed to do a clean XP install and noticed that the T61 download section had firmware updates for both the DVD drive and Hard Disk drive. I'm wondering if Lenovo will update everything prior to shipping out the laptop? Are they good about keeping up with bios and firmware updates when building customized to order systems?

    I'm not sure, but mine came with the latest BIOS, so maybe.

    They should. But you can always upgrade by yourself.
