The recent purchase of our (mine and g/f's) T40 has a SXGA+ screen which she finds to be too small font wise.

I have tried to adjust the settings as much as possible to please her but she just doesn't like it.

Is there a way to switch to a XGA without buying a new T40 and selling this one?

    Thanks!

    Try adjusting the DPI settings.

Control Panel -> Display Properties -> Settings -> Advanced

Set the DPI setting to Large (120 DPI).

    thanks

did that already...she doesn't like how Explorer and Firefox look. They're too small and when we increase the font it looks "weird" to her .

Whatever...but is there any way to change it?

Well, you can decrease the resolution, of course, but you will have a somewhat blurry display.

Yaaa.....tried that too. Looks like poop.

I warned her she wouldn't like the 1400x1050, doesn't really bother me but we both did pay for it.

So is there a way to buy some parts via ebay and changing it? Or should i just sell it and buy one with smaller resolution?

well, you should be able to resell for about what you paid, so I would guess that is the easier option.
