Hi, I have a Lenovo Ideapad 510 running with Windows 10 64 Bit.

I was wondering if different drivers might get more performance out of my laptop compared to what i am using?

I have made a couple of changes to my laptop since getting it, it was originally 8gb Ram. I have upgraded that to 12GB, i think i may actually have had a slight performance decrease since doing that, i'm guessing because they aren't running dual channel any more, or something similar, but i do have more ram so that was the main aim i guess.

I also took the 1TB hard drive out and replaced it with a crucial mx500 SSD drive, this did make a big difference to speed etc.

The driver running for the SATA drive is dated 13.09.2016 version 15.2.0.1020 this is the newest version supplied by lenovo, i have tested newer drivers from intel before and i think i remember that the one i have seemed to work the best but not 100% is anyone else using any newer and would i see any better gain with my SSD drive with them?

I use the latest NVIDIA drivers for the NVIDIA GEFORCE 940MX Graphics but the lenovo ones for the intel HD Graphics 520 as i think i read it was best sticking to the ones supplied by Lenovo for these, but they are pretty old now dated 21.01.2019 version 25.20.100.6518 so i was wondering giving they are pretty old, would i be best using the latest from the Intel site or best sticking with the ones i am using?

    Any thoughts on this?

    James
