    Hi,

I just got my z60t two days ago and have been spending time using it... I was wondering if anyone else noticed that the fan is rather loud? My roommate has a T30 that she bought four years ago and it makes absolutely no noise at all, whereas my new computer seems to be humming rather loudly at all times.

My AC adapter is also making a high pitched squeaking noise that is driving me absolutely crazy - it sounds like nails on a chalkboard... is this normal?

Interesting. I've heard that the Z60t is supposed to be really quiet compared to the latest T4x laptops. Well, welcome to the club; head over here to download the fan control program. It's designed for the T43, so some of the sensors might not be correct, but other than that I believe it should work on your laptop as well.

I don't think your AC adaptor should be making noise, though. I know mine doesn't; you may want to call up technical support on that one.
