I recently ordered a T61P and added the "LENOVO THINKPAD PROTECTION WITH THINKPLUS DEPOT REPAIR - EXTENDED SERVICE AGREEMENT - 3 YEARS - PICK-UP AND RETURN". My question is; do you have to do something special to activate it? I never got anything that says I have a 3 year plan and when I checked my warranty online using my model and serial # and it says I am good to 8/10/09. I definitely payed for the 3yr plan, am I missing something?

    Thanks in advance :).

I think you need to call them as ask why youre getting what looks like a 1 year warranty when you paid for 3.

Yeah there is nothing you do to activate it. Like the poster above said give Lenovo a call to see why you don't have the 3 year plan.

Just an update, I went to call Lenovo the other day and when I went to bring up my current warranty status it showed the correct 3 year warranty. I guess it just takes a week or so before they update the warranty status.

When I call Lenovo and buy warranty what type of pricing is applied? (ex: Regular, Student, CPP). I purchased my X200 using student discount.

2 year depot 9x5 Next Business Day 2 year depot 9x5 Next Business Day [add $69.00]

3 year depot 9x5 Next Business Day 3 year depot 9x5 Next Business Day [add $119.00 $101.15] [Lenovo recommended]
Save 15% for a limited time

2 year onsite 9x5 Next Business Day 2 year onsite 9x5 Next Business Day [add $139.00]

3 year onsite 9x5 Next Business Day 3 year onsite 9x5 Next Business Day [add $219.00 $186.15]
Save 15% for a limited time

    ^ Those are regular price.

I'm looking at 3 year depot or 2 year/3 year onsite.

So onsite means a technician will come to my house?

I don't think I need accidental plan.. as long as it covers warranty for SSD and motherboard, I'm good.

Same thing happened to me. It took a few days before it updated with the correct date.
