Recently I'm looking into buying a laptop and noticed the cheap price of the lenovo y510p. Just wondering if the models on the website Lenovo y510p Models!
    are
    1) 755SLI models and if it already contain two 755m or do I have to buy a Y510P Removable Graphics GT755M5 and install it my self? Would I need to upgrade the charging cable?
    2) Are the more expensive model upgrades on the website (eg. $799 v.s $879) worth it?

the SLI models already have 2x gt 755m and the bigger power supply. I think the upgrade to a $879 version is good because 1080p looks a lot nicer than 720p in a 15.6" screen. Take note that only the $1200 and $1600 versions have the 2nd graphics card preinstalled.

Get the 1080p screen if you can. It will be worth it. but like hailgod said, the dual sli ones are more expensive. If it says SLI then it has two. Theres not much of a difference between 750m and 755m. If you have time, I would keep an eye out for deals on the y510p. and look at the outlet store if you're into refurbished laptops or newegg. You should be able to find a sLI model for <$1000

Yep I got mine with i7 Processor, 1080P screen and SLI 750M for $950 in Jan. It was cheaper to go thru a reseller than buying direct from Lenovo.
