Hi All,
Question for all W700 Owners,
That have the Intel Core2 Extreme CPU.
What is your Processor Number: Q9300 OR QX9300
Thank you in advance

Q9300, isn't that the desktop CPU? As far as I know, the mobile quad-core laptop is the QX9300. There is no mobile Q9300.

Read my post on W700 LiveKernelEvint 1033 am I seeing things or is that a Desktop CPU in my W700 -
That's just probably an error, you have a QX9300, not a Q9000. A Q9000 would be running at exactly 2.5GHz, have a whopping 95W TDP, and have a 1333MHz FSB.

I just sent it in to Memphis for repair today, thats the problem.
Its never work as I expected thats it,
holy my system is frayed, its under warranty
Intel Processor numbers
This is what is in my System Intel Q9300
And what I should have Intel QX9300 -
The W700 cannot be overclocked, so any QX9300 CPU in it is effectively a Q9300. However, a Q9300 has never gone into production, hence all the mobile workstations with Q9300 CPUs are actually QX9300. You're not missing anything here, except probably overpaying for a CPU you can't take advantage of.

You could have checked it by power consumption. The desktop CPU would eat up your battery in 1-1.5hours.

Your CPU is a QX9300. If Lenovo wants to put in a Q9300 in it, they will need a new motherboard because of the different socket between the Q9300 and the QX9300. Which means more money spent on designing the other components to work with two motherboards as opposed to working with one motherboard (one that fits the QX9300). So unless you can confirm that all of the W700 are using Q9300 instead of QX9300, rest assured that what you have is the QX9300.
The problem with Autodesk could be anything, especially since the graphics is the problem. The slowness of your system is again tied to what OS configuration you use compare to your HP. It could be anything. -
however as soon as it arrives I will call them.
I sent a copy of the error report.
My HP dv8000 configuration consist of: -
See, you have a Go7400 for the HP, and a Quadro 3700M for the Lenovo. It could be just drivers. The Go7400 is old, thus the drivers have matured. The Quadro 3700M is newer, so it could be that the Autodesk driver for this card is still immature. Have you tried to google to see if other people are having the same problem too? I remember going to lenovo forum and seeing something related to Autodesk and the w700 graphics card.

what dos your Intel Core 2 Quad Core Extreme Processor QX9300 look like in,
Device Manager.
Intel Core 2 Quad Core Extreme Processor QX9300 -
It's the same as the QX9300. Some programs simply identify it as being a Q9300 without the Extreme part. It happens on many QX9300-equipped laptops.
I can GUARANTEE you that your W700 does not have a one-off motherboard running a desktop CPU.
