    Question for people who purchased an X61 in March

    Hello everyone...

    I placed an order for my souped up (hehe) X61 on the 18th of March and when I checked out I saw the following confirmation page (with an estimated ship data of April 2):

    However, when I check the order status through Lenovo now, I see that the estimated ship date for the laptop is April 11th. (I've already received the sleeve):

    Does anyone have any idea when I should expect the laptop to be shipped? Has anyone else ordered an X61 recently and received it? Do you guys think I got a good deal (you can no longer get this price, which makes me feel good :) ) Do you guys think the 15 inch belkin sleeve will be too big for the X61 with the extended battery? If so, then why the heck would lenovo sell it as an accessory with the X61... Sorry about asking so many questions. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

    Like I said in another thread...the sleeve will be way too big if in fact it is a 15" sleeve. A sleeve is meant to fit like a glove. The price is solid you will love the laptop.

    Hi,

    I'm in Canada - I ordered an X61s on March 3rd, and I received it yesterday, March 25th. So it took a little over 3 weeks. Also, I had a bit of a weird configuration, and I ordered the dock with the DVD burner, so I think the amount of time they took was fine. It stated on the website when I was ordering that adding the DVD burner could delay the order by 3-4 weeks or something like that...

    I was very happy with the way the computer was packed, etc., and as far as I can tell, there are no defects - the screen looks good, and everything is running well. I also received everything that I ordered. So overall, I'm satisfied.

    You guys are getting them so affordably cheap! I'm so jealous... but too bad they don't ship outside of US/Canada...

    Hmmm, this is kind of funny. So I got the shipment confirmation for the laptop tonight at 11:20 PM. The first thought in my mind was that people who work at Lenovo lurk these message boards and when they saw my post asking about ship dates etc they some how expedited the shipping process. HA, I know that this sounds like some sort of conspiracy theory and it is most likely not true... but if anyone else is wondering when their laptop is going to ship, I guess it wouldn't hurt to post it in this discussion forum. :)
