I have read some comments suggesting that the keyboard on the W500 is not as good as previous Lenovo/IBM thinkpads? - specifically, it has flex, because Lenovo has sacrificed rigidity for lightness. Is that the case? At present I have a 4-yr old Dell Precision M70, and it has the most awesome keyboard - no flex at all; perfect to type on. I have experience of the traditional IBM thinkpad keyboard and think they are very good too. Can anyone comment on the W500's keyboard?

Nope, this issue has been resolved by Lenovo, by switching back to using the T61 keyboards that were very solid. If you somehow do receive one with a flexy keyboard, Lenovo will promptly mail you a new nonflexy one at no cost.

If you want more details, take a look at my T500 review (link in my sig), since the T500 has th exact same chassis as the W500.
