I own a T60 that came preloaded with Windows XP Pro. I'm in the process of calling sales on Monday to order a Windows XP Pro CD. I called support and they told me it's only $45 which is a deal.![]()
Tech Support told me that the Windows XP Pro CD comes with the OS and IBM software. I asked him if he thought it would include all the trial and bloatware and he said no.
Anyone order a recovery CD from Lenovo? Does it just come with just the OS and ThinkVantage software and no bloatware?

Is the recovery CD contents available for download? I've never ordered recovery CDs because I just make sure I image my laptop the moment I set it up with Office, etc. Then I just restore it myself.
Have you considered re-installing Windows on your own? -
I did an image when I first got my T60 but it has tons of trail and bloatware. I have no problems installing XP except I don't have a CD. That's what i'll be calling about on Monday.
To my knowledge the recovery CD is only available by calling Lenovo Sales. It's free if the machine is under warranty and $45 if it's not. -
You can create a Windows CD from your I386 folder:

Use Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder to get the OEM key so you don't have to activate:

Thanks but i'm too lazy in my old age, paying $45 is the easier option.
