    Is it possible to convert a S-ATA hard drive into IDE and put it into a notebook??

    Can I use a USB HD as the OS Hard drive and have NO hard drive in the laptop?

    Cuz I have a deal on a S-aTA HD for laptop and there is such hting as SATA to IDE converter....

    Can I use a USB HD as the OS Hard drive and have NO hard drive in the laptop?

    There are SATA to IDE adapters. Though I haven't seen one for 2,5" drives (sure you could combine it with 3,5" adapters but that certainly woudn't fit).

    But if it exists I really doubt that you can find one small enough to fit...
