    Question, W510 broken motherboard

    i have a w510 i7-920xm with raid. Motherboard is broken and the laptop is out warranty. the new motherboard cost 850,00 euro ($1100).
    the motherboard FRU is 63Y1553 (with raid control). I found with ebay this refurbished motherboard with FRU 63Y1551 (without raid) for $350.
    can i install it? can there be some problems?

    do you have other solutions?

    You can swap the board. You may have to re-activate Windows.

    re-activate windows isn't a problem. I restore system with rescue e recovery dvd.

    according to you the 63Y1551 can work?
