If I know a friend, not family member, who is an IBM employee, can they use this program to buy a computer (T61p) for me?

If so, how substantial is the discount and are the options the same? (Same choices for HD's, RAM, etc)

    Thanks for any enlightening comments.

Ask your friend, the IBM employee.

the prices are usually slightly less than CPP, but that's not the case at the moment.

Back in the day when ThinkPads sold for much more, it was a better discount, but now that Lenovo has driven the prices down so much, it's not as great.

According to the EPP terms of service, the following people are elligible.
So as long as you are a "personal friend", you shouldn't have any trouble.

Depending on what you are buying, the discount is 10% - 20%.

You are right, +20% on my config now

They stopped the "buy more, save more" savings - cpp and coupon-savings are still the same

My CPP Coupons are the same but the pricing has gone up.
Doesn't look like I will get a low price match for my recent R61 order. Hope I'm wrong.

Not always. Sometimes the coupons will not stack.
