Is the Lenovo Flex 3 good for gaming, albeit at lower settings?

has anyone played GTAV and Batman: Arkham Knight on it? Hows the gameplay?

The Flex 3 11" is way too underpowered for Arkham Knight, which is still buggy according to some owners. If you have the Broadwell 14" variant this SP2 video might give you an idea of how integrated GPUs handle Arkham Knight.

I'm looking for laptops which rotate the lid around to make it a tablet with the keyboard underneath. Which laptops of this type have the Broadwell 14?

With the gt840m or gt940m it can be quite capable. I would not game on integrated graphics unless I really had to.

I think I read that the 940M is only a little bit more powerful as the 840M, but no more. If so, how long does the 940M have on the gaming shelf life?

Low settings... a few years. I only have personal experience with the 840m and it played LOL and Hearthstone maxed no problem. Farcry 4 had to be put around medium settings and battlefield hardline was running at high settings. The 840m/940m are not exactly "gaming grade" GPU's but in my opinion they are pretty decent. It all comes to price for performance and for the money you would be spending nearly double for a laptop with an 860m/960m and only get a 15-20% increase in performance. The 840m/940m is in the sweet spot where its worth the money to get and you usually don't have to spend an arm and a leg to get it.
