Im planning to get an Intel X25-M G2 SSD for my T400 and have some questions.

    a) Any special drivers required for the install?
    b) Is Windows 7 64bit better optimised for SDD than VISTA 64bit?
    c) Is there any special adapter or washer required to make it fit in the Hard Drive Caddy? It seems that the dimensions are smaller (thinner than a regular Harddisk)?

    a) Nope
    b) I would prefer Win 7 over Vista
    c) Well, there are different size X25-M out there. They are all 2.5" (DUH!), but the height is different, which shouldn't affect the installation, since they are screwed to the caddy anyways.

Thanks but I was wondering if the smaller height would require some sort of spacer in order to fit properly into the Hard-Drive bay...

Nope, the Intel's already have a plastic ring spacer that make them conform to the proper 2.5" specification. Should fit nice and snug.

    No, no spacer required.
