Hi, I have 2 question regarding the Thinkpad X61s, hopefully some folks here know the answers:
1. Screen: Does X61s have ultralight screen or not? I don't see "ultralight" on Lenovo website, but as I remember it used to be ultralight.
2. Battery: How long does the 4-cell battery on X61s last for normal usage (w/o gaming)?

Some do some don't. You don't see it probably cause they ran out.
Depends on many factors, the most important being the screen brightness. Average settings with average brightness should be three hours and change. -
Ultralight screen is out of stock, and probably never will be since X61s is being phased out. Even those who ordered X61s recently (early December) were asked to agree the downgrade from ultralight screen to regular screen. Otherwise, their orders were canceled.

1: the ultralight display saved about 0.15 lbs over the standard display. i've owned both and prefer the standard display for color quality and viewing angles. the ultralight display, when available, was about $45 more than the standard display.
2: there are two versions of 4-cell battery: a standard one with cylindrical cells and a slim version with prismatic cells made only for the X61s. the standard battery should last 3~3.5 hours on the "balanced" power scheme where the slim battery will only go around 2.5~3 hours. if you're worried about battery life then get the 8-cell as it will last 5+ hours on "balanced". if you want maximum battery life then you simply cannot keep your display at full brightness. -
erik, thanks for the very helpful information! I wonder how much heavier is the 8-cell than the 4-cell battery?

it's about 0.5 lbs heavier than the 4-cell prismatic. i have both the 4-cell prismatic and 8-cell batteries and use the 4-cell at home and the 8-cell when traveling.
