First off I would like to say lenovo is amazing for sending my computer so fast!! I ordered on friday and received it today (wednesday).

Anyways Im a bit bummed at the fact that my left speaker clicks when i push it down, theres like some flex in the plastic. Also my right palm heats up....

So i heard the T400 has switchable graphics? So i can switch from integrated to dedicated... do I have to manually switch it or does it do it automatically for me? If I have to do it manually, How? Also sorry for asking such a novice question but how do I check the specs on my computer? Like the kind of display I Have. Everyone says LED displays are extremely bright however this feels no different from my normal NON LED display on my HP. Most people say max brightness on LED screen is really blinding however I'm running it on max right now... so im starting to wonder if my display really is LED. Thanks!

Ok for switching graphics, left click on the energy bar icon on your taskbar then a chose the last option "switchable graphics".

For checking specs i downloaded pc wizard 2008.

I wouldnt say LED is blinding, but i would say it is very bright, especially when i use my t400 notebook in the evenings, i switch it to 3/4 of the max brightness... I have never had a laptop before so i cant really compare screen's

The display is really bright for previous Thinkpad owners. Minus those Thinkpad owners with FlexView dispays, previous models were lacking in the display department (compared to consumer based laptops).

I've always bought Thinkpads for build quality and reliability. Now that I have a good screen as well is freakin sweet.

Im still not too impressed iwt the display... not worth the extra money to get LED in my opinion... I rather just get the regular wga display and save money.

How do I check what kinda LED screen i have. I heard LG is good. Also can someone answer my question of ram? Did I get jacked 1 gb of ram? Thanks
