    Hi *.
I just purchased a new T61P. Few questions:

    1) Does anyone know how to clean the screen? it gets dirty quite easily...

    2) I often use it with a docking stations. When it is on (with the internal LCD off), can I keep it closed? although the t61p doesn't get too hot, it is still quite warm... wouldn't that damage the screen?

    3) Does anyone here use linux and knows how to switch from internal monitor to external monitor without using nvidia-settings (i.e. with a script or something like that).

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I only know the answer to #1. Use some warm water with soft tissue paper and then use a micro fiber cloth to clean it off after. It seems to do the trick! Don't use windex or any of that stuff on the screen because it will damage it. Although, I have used windex to clean my LCD desktop monitor for the past year and its perfectly fine

In response to question number 2, personally I think it would be fine to run your laptop with the lid closed. However I would recommend getting a notebook cooler to make sure you keep your laptop as cool as possible. I have left my T61p running overnight with the lid closed while using a notebook cooler, and I haven't had any problems.
