Hello folks got a few good questions for you![]()
As I can get hold of the Lenovo U410 for a pretty good deal, I'm hesitating to buy it. But before I do that I have a few questions about the machine if you don't mind helping me out.. As I've tried a few computers lately, but returned them all due to bad keyboard/screen. I've tried the Acer Aspire M5 and the Samsung Series 7 both 14".. The Acer's keyboard was a mess and the Samsung's screen had a dark shadowish edge on the right side.. So now I want som user inputs before I go out buy something.![]()
The model I can get hold of is the 14 inch with:
CPU: Intel Core i5 (3. gen) 3317U / 1.7 GHz ( 2.6 GHz ) / 3 MB Cache
RAM: 6GB DDR3
GFX: NVIDIA GeForce 610M / Intel HD Graphics 4000
OS: Windows 8
HDD: 1TB Hybrid (24 GB flash) / 5400 rpm
For around 850$
My needs is light gaming and programming.. Games will be SimCity 2013, Diablo 3, Starcraft 2 and such, I dont mind jamming all my graphics to low-setting just so it runs smoothly.. But how is the graphic performance in this machine? Am I better off turning the 610M completly off and running on the HD 4000 or how well does the machine perform? I will mainly program and surf on the computer. I will use programs such as Sublime Text 2 and Visual Studio 2012, I guess these programs wont be a problem to run? It's important to me that the screen is of good quality, any comments on that? together with the keyboard and the trackpad?
I have also read about the WiFi issue on this machine, is that still present? Maybe the new Windows 8 machines have the issue fixed?
Bonus question: If I run on the Intel HD 4000, how much minimum graphic memory and maximum graphic memory does it has?
Hope you guys will help me out..
Kind regards,
Hylle

Hey just an update.. I read the keyboard flex is pretty "bad" on the U410 anyone who can confirm that?
