I've searched and read a lot and I've been able to narrow down what I want and what to look for, however, I still have a few questions remaining. I know the part numbers listed are in XXXNNNNNNN, but how do you find out the last digit of the machine type? Also, some part numbers are not in that format (for example one I'm looking at is CA6457RF6). Also, as I understand it I can extend the warranty to 3 years by calling Lenovo within 60 days of the purchase? Lastly, are there any discounts applicable to outlet purchases (I read something about a discount using Paypal). TIA for your help :)

The numbers are not always listed uniformly - some have actual serial number listed, others simply have model numbers. CA6457RF6 should be 6457-RF6.
