I just got my T60 today and cannot update my system. I downloaded System Update 3 but when ran it, got the error Package Index Server is temporarily unavailable. I also cannot update AVG 7.5, which I have had no problem doing on other machines before. Any idea how to solve this problem would be appreciated.

Regarding AVG, there are three programs that you need to remove and then reboot. Norton antivirus, Symantec update and a third one that I can't remember.

This happened to me a few times. I just tried again later and it worked.

See if any firewall is blocking it.
